Arm announces partnership with Aston Martin Saudi Aramco Formula One at CES 2025? The team has established a milestone multi-year partnership, with Arm becoming the team's' official AI computing platform partner '. Arm's computing platform will drive the development of AI and computing in the F1 field, helping Aston Martin Saudi Aramco team break through performance limits both on and off the track.
Through this unique partnership, Arm and Aston Martin Saudi Aramco Racing are committed to accelerating the advancement of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education (STEM) as well as equity and inclusivity in the future of motorsport. Meanwhile, Jessica Hawkins, the project leader of Aston Martin Saudi Aramco F1 Academy, has been appointed as the official ambassador of Arm to jointly inspire women to gain opportunities in STEM and motorsport fields. In addition, both parties will provide support for young engineers, racing drivers, and innovators.

Joining hands with NVIDIA to explore innovation
NVIDIA founder and CEO Huang Renxun showcased NVIDIA's latest AI technology innovations in his keynote speech before the exhibition. Arm technology plays a key role in NVIDIA's next-generation consumer electronics and commercial vehicle solutions. The Arm CPU core is a key component of NVIDIA's new personal AI supercomputer, providing developers with easily accessible high-performance AI computing.
New AI features for the next generation of cars
At the NVIDIA keynote speech, Huang Renxun announced the centralized computing system NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor? It can provide advanced AI functions for a wide range of automotive applications and is expected to be applied to mass-produced models later this year. This is the first solution to adopt Arm Neoverse V3AE, which is Arm's first Neoverse CPU enhanced for automotive applications. Many leading car manufacturers have planned to use NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor for the next generation of software defined vehicles (SDVs), including Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, and Volvo Cars.
In addition, Toyota, Lotus sports cars Lucid、? Polaris Rivian、 Automakers such as Extreme Krypton and Zoox have also become partners of NVIDIA DRIVE Orin based on Arm architecture.
Desktop high-performance AI for developers

As shown on the large screen at the entrance of the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, "Arm platform is the cornerstone of future cars," 94% of global car manufacturers use Arm architecture based technology in their latest models.
In the CES 2025 showroom, multiple new models using Arm architecture technology have well confirmed this, including Honda's release of the Honda 0 SUV prototype.
Renesas Electronics and Honda jointly announced during the exhibition that Honda's new SUV models will run on Arm architecture based technology, and the two sides have signed an agreement to jointly develop high-performance System on Chip (SoC) for the new generation of SDVs. The chip will be equipped with Renesas Electronics' new fifth generation R-Car SoC, which uses Arm Cortex-A720AE CPU as the application processor and Arm Cortex-R52 dual lock step CPU core for real-time processing.
Experts from Honda, BMW, Nuro, and Rivian participated in a special discussion on "Innovating the Future Driving Experience by Unleashing the Power of AI". During this period, Dipti Vachani explained how AI is revolutionizing the automotive industry in three key trends: electrification, autonomous driving, and driver experience.

At the same time, Arm technology is accelerating the software for leading automotive applications showcased at CES 2025. Mapbox is a leading platform that provides location service experiences, and this demonstration showcases its new virtual platform, Virtual Head Unit (VHU), developed in collaboration with Arm and Corellium.
This is a virtual prototype of in car hardware created based on the Arm architecture, which can be used before seamless integration with Mapbox's navigation stack. Through the new VHU, vehicle manufacturers can build maps as needed before service deployment, and conduct testing and rendering at a faster speed.
In addition, Amazon Web Services (AWS) demonstrated how Arm optimization can support the development of chatbot prototype applications for the new generation of SDVs in the automotive industry.
Innovative consumer technology solutions

A major highlight of the television market is Eclipsa Audio. This open-source technology, jointly developed by Google, Samsung, Arm, and the Open Media Alliance, provides a three-dimensional auditory experience and revolutionizes the way audio is listened to. By adopting Immersive Audio Models and Formats (IAMF), Eclipsa Audio propagates audio in both vertical and horizontal dimensions, highly simulating natural environments and creating immersive soundscapes.
Arm has played a key role in the technology field, achieving performance improvements on Arm CPUs by optimizing Opus codecs and IAMF libraries. These technological enhancements ensure that Eclipsa Audio can deliver outstanding performance in various consumer electronics products, from high-end cinema systems to entry-level mobile devices and televisions.
In addition, two new XR products based on Arm architecture at the exhibition have attracted widespread attention. ThinkAR showcased its AiLens product line, a lightweight AR smart glasses that provides an intuitive user experience through powerful edge side AI capabilities. In addition, XREAL showcased its latest XREAL One series AR smart glasses. These AR wearable devices are built on Arm Cortex-A CPU technology, and despite their lightweight appearance, they have excellent display capabilities. Users can generate 3D objects by conversing with the device.
The technological highlights of CES 2025 are not limited to this. MediaTek highlighted the features provided by its Arm based Kompanio 838 for gaming and education on Chromebook devices. In terms of gaming, all Android games can run on Chromebook devices equipped with MediaTek Kompanio 838 processors. This provides players with a smooth and responsive experience. As a leading manufacturer in the industry, Asus showcased the Chromebook CZ12 designed based on the concept of "rugged, student-centered learning companion". The Chromebook CZ12 is equipped with the MediaTek 520 processor based on the Arm architecture, designed to provide students with a rich educational experience through its easy-to-use and robust design.
Introduce advanced AI capabilities for edge and endpoint devices
Alif Semiconductor announced at CES 2025 that it will integrate the Arm Ethos-U85 NPU into its second-generation Ensemble microcontroller (MCU). The new Ensemble MCU and fusion processor are designed to provide support for generative AI workloads, enabling advanced AI functionality on edge and endpoint devices. This is particularly valuable for edge side AI applications that focus on the fusion of vision, speech, text, and sensors, providing instant, accurate, and satisfying user experiences without relying on the cloud.
Arm's standardized Ethos NPU IP is highly favored for its outstanding performance and efficiency, as well as extensive ecosystem support.

On the last day of the exhibition, Ami Badani had an in-depth panel discussion with experts from Meta and NVIDIA on the key to empowering sustainable AI innovation.
