Shanghai, China, January 7, 2025- Cadence Electronics (NASDAQ: CDNS) and Gatland, the leader in millimeter wave radar chip development and design, announced today that Cadence has authorized Gatland to integrate the Cadence Tensilica ConnX 220 DSP into its advanced radar solutions. This cooperation aims to improve the performance and efficiency of automotive imaging radar systems, injecting innovative momentum into the rapidly developing automotive industry.





The integration of ConnX 220 DSP into the next-generation Andes SoC based Gatland radar solution will bring significant advantages, including improved flexibility, optimized processing capabilities, and advanced imaging radar functionality. The ConnX 220 DSP is a configurable IP product designed specifically for high-performance 4D radar and imaging radar applications. Gatlan can fully utilize the flexibility of DSP to program and easily customize according to different customer needs. In addition, with the mature software toolchain of ConnX 220 DSP, Gatland can also provide excellent performance and scalability in its radar system, which is crucial for automotive applications such as autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and in car monitoring. At present, Gatland is in the sample supply stage and plans to start mass production in the third quarter of 2025.
