Da Da Da Da Quan Ding Group launches low-power monitoring system solution based on Lianyong Technology products

Post on Jan 01,1970

On December 12, 2024, Dalian University Holdings, a leading international semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary, Quanding, has launched a low-power monitoring system solution based on NOVATEK's NT98568 product.

With the rapid application and close deployment of intelligent Internet of Things technology, monitoring systems, as important tools for maintaining public safety and improving management efficiency, are constantly developing towards higher efficiency and lower power consumption. To meet the urgent demand of the market for green and energy-saving monitoring solutions, DaDaDaDaDaDaDaDaDaDaQuan Ding has launched a low-power monitoring system solution based on the LianYong Technology NT98568 product. This scheme aims to reduce the energy consumption level of the entire system by adopting advanced software and hardware architecture, while ensuring that image quality is not affected.

NT98568 is a highly integrated SoC under Lianyong Technology, which features high image quality, low bitrate, and low power consumption. It supports pre roll and Always on Video modes and is suitable for battery powered applications. This SoC is capable of implementing edge IP camera applications ranging from 2Mp to 5Mp/8Mp, with a powerful feature set. In terms of configuration, the NT98568 is equipped with a dual core ARM Cortex A7 CPU, next-generation ISP, H.265/H.264 video compression codec, video processing engine (VPE), high-performance hardware DLA module, graphics engine, display controller, Ethernet, USB 2.0 host/device, audio codec, RTC, and SD/SDIO 3.0, providing users with a highly cost-effective edge IP camera solution.

In terms of software, this solution is built in a Linux environment, and the software architecture is HDAL (Hardware Device Abstraction Layer). HDAL is a layer located between the transparent hardware driver layer and the chip driver layer, whose function is to transform the hardware abstraction layer into a universal API independent of the chip, thereby simplifying functional implementation. With the help of HDAL, this solution can maximize chip energy efficiency and enable users to quickly complete the development of related functions.

This solution is suitable for diversified application scenarios including professional network cameras, home/consumer/IoT network cameras, and meets the market's demand for high-performance and low-power security monitoring.
